The Visitor for many years has provided members and friends news of the church. It has been a place where the pastor can discuss in some detail aspects of sermons, issues facing the church, the state, the nation and the world. Chairs of committees have provided reports of their work and seek input from members. Rev. John Towery started The Visitor. The personals column, a popular feature, chronicles the activities of members (active and inactive), friends of the church, members who have moved away and those unable to attend for health reasons. Cathy Hubbs and Pat Oakes have served as reporters and in this role have fostered a deep sense of community within the church.
